Skyfall

Black Hole

May contain traces of nut
I had this on last night, ITV after the national and local news. I dozed off for quite a lot of it, but so far as I can recall there seemed to be no advert breaks. Anyone confirm?

I cannot confirm however a couple of days ago I watched a movie I had recorded from ITV1 a couple of weeks ago and after watching a large chunk also could not recall there being any ad breaks and then one happened, I did not pay much attention after that or rewind to check so you may be right, may have just missed one or we both are just getting senile.

I've noticed a few things we recorded late at night having long gaps between ad breaks and/or very short breaks - as in a single skip gets back to the sponsor intro for the next section.
Skyfall was quite late last night and was shown at 8pm last Saturday (and I'm sure has been on at least once in the last few months as well) so probably not much advertiser appetite for it.

I think having no break at all is exceptional but I have noticed many times that things scheduled late at night can have a shorter time slot than the same programme at a busier time.

I can't confirm yet. It's sitting on the Aura waiting to be watched. However, I do remember watching another Bond film late at night where there was one (maybe two) breaks in the first hour and none in the second. Much prefer that than a break with a couple of trails.

I can confirm that the movie I watched was recorded late at night and did have a shorter than expected run time, it was the first of the new Planet of the Apes movies and was listed at well under 2 hours run time.

Running Skyfall at speed, it appears to have two early breaks, then over an hour with no interruption.

Watched Casino Royale recently, it had small number of adverts and were possibly shorter than usual.
I find the main commercial channels often have 3 or 4 and breaks per hour (for long duration programs), usually of approximately 5 minutes each. Programs on later sometimes have less and/or shorter ad breaks.
