Some HDR T2s not happy above 500GB disk?

I have 3 HDR T2s, one I bought new and 2 more I bought as backups. Both of my Backups seem reluctant to accept a 1TB disk, but are content with 500GB. I have the same latest customized firmware in all of them. By reluctant, I mean the 1TB will not spin up on boot. All drives are Seagate Pipelines. I'm going slightly crazy with disk/machine combos, so seeking any other similar experiences here
I should have noted that both backups came with 500GB fitted, so I'm guessing they are older than the new 1TB I bought

No reason for this, other than (possibly) excessive power requirements. See Things Every... (click) section 12.

It’s very odd. I just double checked and my 1tb works fine in my original machine. My backup works fine with its 500gb. Put the 1 tb in the backup and it complains there is no signal, so the power idea is an idea to follow. My third machine is dead, but has a working psu ...
