Streaming from iTunes??

Just become the proud owner of a new HDR-FOX T2 and I want to play music from my iTunes library. This is on a ReadyNAS Duo server, which has its own iTunes streaming service built in, as well as DLNA. I can access the ReadyNAS using DLNA, but the Fox T2 doesn't have an iTunes streaming client, which I'd prefer to use.

Is it possible to add an iTunes streaming client to the Fox T2?

No. The existing playback capability is hardware based, so even if you could find an open-source Linux client that we could compile for the HD/HDR-FOX, we have no access to the audio (or video) output buffer and therefore no means to output the result. It's DLNA or nothing.
