The Boat Race

This cr@p is all over various sites in various forms...

At the top:
"The BBC won't air the Boat Race on TV or Radio for the first time in nearly a century..."
then:
"There have previously been gaps in the BBC's dominance of the event, with ITV showing the race between 2005 and 2009,
while LBC had radio rights from 2005 to 2010."

So how does that correlate with the "nearly a century" rubbish, when apparently it's actually 17 years?

Is it me? (as someone used to say)

Alex Kay-Jelski (Director of Sport) sounds like a complete f***ing moron to me - he doesn't believe in live sport or think it's necessary.
One wonders what exactly he does all day. That's an obvious cost saving then.
Barbara Slater (previous DoS) must be turning in her grave (even though she's not dead).

Probably need that, or the +1 version, to cover up the smell of the cr@p in the Thames.
I thought the new Thames super sewer meant it was one of the few rivers in the UK that isn't full of sewage. It's meant to be good for the next 100 years or something like that.

Can't see an up-to-date analysis. There are recent reports about the boat race course and advising rowers not to end up in the water.
Isn't the Thames super sewer the Palace of Westminster
There's usually a "great stink" emanating from there. Many repellent views and behaviour from both sides of the house.
