Thread about possible site buyout removed

What concerns me is that you-know-who, apparently unilaterally (was there any discussion behind the scenes we are not aware of?), decided to just do what the party in question requested, regardless of the opinion of the other forum members - particularly me (I offered a workable solution, which was disregarded). The action appears, on the face of it, even to have cut across the forum OWNERs opinion. WHY?

I can't understand why you find this important?

It isn't that I find it "important", but just asking a simple question. 'Likes' are agreements in principle with that member's comment and for anyone to remove them without consent is fundamentally wrong.
Despite my frivolous post, I won't lose sleep over it!

But if the 'likes' were in response to a thread that has been deleted, then surely they are irrelevant anyway.
