What to have for tea* tonight? Tannoy spam or meat loaf?
Decisions, decisions.

* That's dinner for you southerners.

Over-eating, gluttony, carb-loading.
Had a slice of Xmas cake for pudding after dinner (that's desert|afters after lunch for you).

So what do you call a cuppa and a slice of cake of an afternoon?
Following the use of elevenses for a cuppa in the morning, perhaps twoses or threeses ( or fourteenses/fifteenses).
Most names for meal and snack times seem to be variable. When is supper? Lunch and dinner are often interchangeable. At least breakfast is obvious.

Even worse when playing day / night cricket when lunch is at tea-time and tea is at dinner-time and dinner is at supper-time (if you can still find an open restaurant).

I guess northerners must have less respect for the dead.
Like some of the people at 10 Downing Street who had two parties the day before a Royal funeral. I imagine some/most of them are southerners. Surprised they didn’t try the wake excuse. Or should that be woke?

Who would have thought that the real ending to that line would be :-
"I would do anything for love but I won't take a Covid Vaccination"
