Following the use of elevenses for a cuppa in the morning, perhaps twoses or threeses ( or fourteenses/fifteenses).So what do you call a cuppa and a slice of cake of an afternoon?
Even worse when playing day / night cricket when lunch is at tea-time and tea is at dinner-time and dinner is at supper-time (if you can still find an open restaurant).Lunch and dinner are often interchangeable. At least breakfast is obvious.
Like some of the people at 10 Downing Street who had two parties the day before a Royal funeral. I imagine some/most of them are southerners. Surprised they didn’t try the wake excuse. Or should that be woke?I guess northerners must have less respect for the dead.
