Update via USB - Freeze at Humax Screen

Something's changed. Those not viewing this forum would use this method to upgrade. I certainly did not use the second disconnection though.
It might depend on which version was installed on the unit 'out of the box' ie. when it was manufactured not when bought.

Instructions need to be updated!

It did install the update from standby, the version was 1.01.12

I purchased a Verbatim 'pinstripe' USB stick 4GB, from ASDA, £9 and it worked perfect, first time... 1.02.20 now!

The HD-FOX T2 does Not need to be disconnected from the mains, putting it into standby will do. Then press and hold the power/standby button until the software update begins.

Upgraded to 1.12 this morning OK.
