I have previously posted this elsewhere without a solution so far.
After about half an hour or so viewing (either live or a recording), I get an error message on the TV screen "USB device has encountered an error. Remove the USB to prevent system failure". However, there are no USB devices connected to either USB socket.
Briefly putting the box into standby usually clears the message for a time before it reappears, again after about half an hour. Plugging a portable HDD in to the front USB socket also
clears the message temporarily. It sounds hardware/heat related to me, although the unit is well ventilated.
Any suggestions or is it a call to Humax after the break?
