Anone knnow why does it take 30+ minuntes to copy 3 standard defenition movies from the internal hard drive to the usb hard drive? its slow both ways: using the remote control or using the web interface. and why cant I simply move a file without coping it first to the external drive then deleting the internal drive copy? I can move files via ssh using mv and cut and paste with the web interface but its extrememely slow. why doesnt the move work via the remote? move only works if the file is on the same drive. thanks

Web interface version: 1.2.2-9
Custom firmware version: 3.03 (build 2368)
Humax Version: 1.03.12 (kernel HDR_CFW_3.03)

A: The USB interface is slow.
B: The transfer is slightly faster if the recording is already decrypted.
C: "Move" only works as a fast operation if the data stays where it is and the directory pointers are patched to make it appear as if it is in a new place. This can't work across drives. The Linux "mv" command does a directory manipulation if the data is staying put, but actually does the data shovelling if a different drive is involved.
D: Because of the above, the Humax UI only offers to move a recording within a drive and copy a recording across drives.
