VLC fast forwarding

I've connected an external hdd to the Aura to test the VLC player with a .mp4 file.

I can't seem to fast forward quickly, only 10 secs with each press of the fast forward button.

Is there any way to fast forward quicker?

The HDR FOX T2 was a lot better than this.

I've found a 'Jump to time' feature but I can't seem to input the time I want to jump to, it seems overly complicated.

I use KODI to play files from the Aura downstairs to our TV upstairs via a fire stick.

KODI has really good fast forward/jump features.

No, but it can be run on the AURA and it will give the OP lots of choice for FWD jumping etc.

Something to think about. At the moment I'm happy with VLC, but I've only tried playing the .mp4 file so far.
