webif version 1.0.5-2 clock display problem

Hi All,

Just recently updated my webif to version 1.0.5-2 on my HDR Fox T2 custom firmware 2.17 and noticed that the setting to disable the scrolling and show the clock no longer works. I've tried changing it multiple times and rebooting but it makes no difference - it just scrolls the media you are watching and the play time.

Please could other people verify this or suggest what I could do for further checks.

I've also set my Ring to purple for when it's recording 2 things but this also is not showing any more. I'm beginning to think it's not controlling any of the settings now.

Thanks in advance

It may be that the CF has gone into safe mode, disabling some of the more interfering packages in case they cause a crash loop. This happens if the HDR rebooted for any reason within a few seconds of starting.

In the WebIF diagnostics page, select the diagnostic fix-flash-packages and run it.

It occurs to me that there ought to be a warning flag come up in the WebIF when this is the situation.

There was an instance of the HDR counting down and saying rebooting in 5...4....3...2...1 (as I was trying to get subtitles on a file with no subtitles). I'll give this a go.

Thanks

just one error but nothing to do with the clock or redring. I'll have to see what happens when I reboot it (recording at mo so will be in a while)

Thanks

It would be nice if the CF could log when it disables these things, so the WebIf could report it to the user and not leave them guessing. A bit like the way the disk monitoring works...

Is there anything in the crash.log log (viewable from the Diagnostics screen in the web interface?)
I agree it should notify the user now that the hooks are there..

Version 1.6 of the multienv package now posts a notification when disabling plugins due to a crash.

Here's the info from crash.log

>>> Contents of /mod/tmp/crash.log 121.00 bytes
Humax crashed at Sun Aug 25 01:54:28 GMT 2013 - Uptime: 23091
Humax crashed at Sun Aug 25 01:55:49 GMT 2013 - Uptime: 51

I've got Multienv 1.5 installed, no upgrade is coming through for 1.6..........I'll click on the 'update package list from internet' button...... aha! Yes there is an update to 1.6 now.

Thanks for the info.

Most of my posts go through some kind of refinement, but it wouldn't have been long after I originally posted. Sorry if I stole your thunder.
