OK, try the updated version with the full pathname.

I don't see why that would have a chance of working. We're dealing with URLs not file paths, and I presume the web server has its own idea of where the root of URLs is.

The lighttpd conf alias syntax needs the full path of the alias, not the path relative to the configured document root (which is /mod/webif/html). But as

... /exit does a redirect to / before it ever gets to anything else.

it makes no difference because when

... the client may try to re-fetch the same page

it's the root page and it's being fetched too soon.

Updated firmware image, modifying /var/bootstrap/nomaint.html and /var/bootstrap/rebooting.html
