I have noticed lately when the FVP is in standby it has a very quiet whistle. This never used to be the case and I think it maybe since the last update a few weeks ago as it was always silent before.
As soon as I press the standby button to turn it on the whistle immediately stops and there is silence before the hard drive spins up.
Anyone else noticed this?
EDIT, just noticed now that it has stopped. I wonder if the whistling takes a while to start after it has gone into standby. I noticed when I switched it off earlier it seems to remain in a state of limbo after putting it into standby before it finally turns off - no HDMI output, but disk still spinning!
