Wi-Fi dongle does it have to be humax made?

Or are there alternative ones. Also there were some problems in recent firmwares, have they been resolved? I would love if people left a link to the dongle they've been using.
 
I doubt if Humax manufacture their own dongles. I recently set up a HDR-2000T for a friend and the bundled, Humax-branded, dongle presents itself on the network as an Edimax device. Either it was made by Edimax or was made using its components.
