Youtube-dl & iPlayer overseas

I know that iPlayer is unavailable outside of the UK but I wondered if anyone knew if youtube-dl (in Windows) would work.

You could try adding '--geo-bypass' to the command line. There are other options to try in Youtube-dl if this fails, look for 'geo restriction' in the documentation.

For completeness. Tried youtube-dl in Spain with no success. Could not get past the geo restrictions...
