Youview compared to Freely

I'm only just learning about Freely, but my very little knowledge, leads me to believe that Youview and Freely are virtually the same!

Watch live TV via aerial (or via Internet if not a transmitted service). Recording only available via an aerial, catchup via internet.

Have I missed something?

Yes. Freely defaults to IPTV, thereby ensuring you get fed the "message from the sponsors".

YouView only integrates catchup services into the EPG, so you can see a forward and backward range of dates. If you choose something from catchup, you see the catchup service. Freely, on the other hand, aims to be the hub for a combined IP service.

MMM I think I'm liking YouView better.
My big issue with YouView is due to my location, as I am at the end of the world (Bristol Channel Coast) my aerial will only receive Welsh channels and because of that (I think) I get the Welsh options on iPlayer.
