Youview disk format for files

Is the format for saved recordings on the Humax Youview the same as for the HD Fox T2 and HDR Fox T2? If it is, would it be possible to take the disk out of a Youview and connect to a Fox T2 to play them? With suitable adapters this might provide a cumbersome, but feasible means of backing up recordings perhaps? I know you can't access the disk via the USB on the Youview, but direct access via an adapter should be possible.

I suppose one problem might be that the recordings are locked to the machine they were recorded on.
 
That is very likely to be the case. The more recent Humaxes use encrypted file systems and not just encrypted files.
