    Often yes, using something like a CRC on the data. Ethernet works that way for example. But surely the EPG data is handled in firmware?

    Ignoring invalid data is standard procedure for network connected devices, we do it all the time at work.

    My understanding is that the information has now been passed to someone at Humax with contacts at the broadcasters.

    It's obvious how you could ignore these corrupt entries in the firmware, but presumably the HDR Fox T2 does not.
