...is an observation of the current trend for interviewees to leave the end of their answer hanging, as if the listener is supposed to draw their own conclusion from the foregoing (or more likely they can't think of a way to end the sentence). If I asked a question and somebody trailed off ", so..." - I would reply "what?"
 
Caught another one this morning, but this time it sounded less like ", so..." and more like ", so!". Perhaps it means QED?
 
No. That should be 'Who?'. And before you ask, it was not 'The Who'. Apart from that, you missed whoever it was.
