[webif] Web interface

One last thing to try, browse to http://<Address of humax>/cgi-bin/opkg.jim?cmd=update and see if that works. It might take a while for output to appear.
I've got around to trying this now. Here's the result:

wget: no response from server Downloading http://hummypkg.org.uk/hdrfoxt2/base/Packages.gz. Collected errors: * opkg_download: Failed to download http://hummypkg.org.uk/hdrfoxt2/base/Packages.gz, wget returned 1. Updating package meta information Done.

I've just uploaded webif version 0.6.6:
  • Restructured scheduled recordings list, including support for removing scheduled events;
  • Scheduling recordings via the web interface now enabled by default;
  • Adds hooks required for remote scheduling.

Did you get the update to work? I can't get the package list to update, keeps timing out. Though I can grab the packages.gz file if I put the url directly into Firefox.

Some release notes for 0.6.7, 0.6.8 & 0.6.9.. been a bit tied up with the rs project.

Changes since 0.6.6
  • Move common system functions into a new system class (Tawny, you might want to use this from the iPhone interface);
  • New, simpler, disk space logic implemented in the system class (Ok BH, looks like I got something wrong if your lurker is getting the USB disk all the time).
  • New channel information page (useful during DSO!) - see link at bottom of main page.
  • Show correct icon for 'split' recording event (thanks to xyz321);
  • Fix EPG problems;
So not many end-user changes apart from the more resilient EPG and channel information page.

Is it possible to change the port that webif uses at all?

Yes, you'd need to edit the /mod/etc/mongoose.conf and change the line that looks like:

Code:
listening_ports 80

Then restart mongoose

Code:
humax# service stop mongoose
humax# service start mongoose

My ISP tells me that they have done something to the web server so hopefully it will be more consistently reachable now!

No doubt I'll hear about it soon. The last message was something like he had 0.6.5 installed but it was reporting 0.6.8-3. Don't ask me!

I like what I'm hearing though, waiting for the play time when I decide to strip down and rebuild (complete with samba etc). I think it's more urgent that I sort out my PC after it installed Win7 SP1 - I run a recovery system called RollbackRX (I may have mentioned it) and the changes have swamped its cache so I'm unprotected at the moment (aarrrggghhh!).

As an aside, the HDR-FOX T2 got a mention in EPE this month (Alan Winstanley's column), I bunged him an email suggesting he might like to have a snoop around here and he's pretty enthusiastic.

Hi,

My region is currently in DSO stage 1 and I had some duplicate BBC channels in the 800's after retuning which I removed.. However in the web ui all the deleted channels show at the top of the EPG list, along with a duplicate BBC One. Will this issue disappear after DSO stage 2? Picture below.

I'd just like to also say a huge thank you to af123 and all the contributors on this forum which have breathed new life into my Hummy!

Same on my box actually. I'm picking up duplicate channels from the same transmitter. I'll look at it.
You're also likely to have some channels at the bottom in the 8xx range, which are duplicates.
