Yes, was referring to the tempmon package.
I have the fan now set constantly to keep it cool. I'll do a gunk check when I next can.
Thanks for all the input - all taken on board and I'm sure it'll be fine.
My only wish now is getting it to see a network drive - I presume it can't see SMBv3...
I am, and I've set suspend at 60 and off at 70.
The fan kicks in at 50 as it should, just not sure why it doesn't stay below 50 for very long - my 1TB box rarely gets near 50.
May have to break her seals and open her up... 😁
Ah, thanks - I will give that a go.
I do have a spare box, but it gets hotter (always getting 50degC warnings, but rarely goes over 52) and is only a 500gb - so I'm just copying everything off the 1TB one onto my NAS before I start messing with firmwares and doing big resets --- yes, I know the...
I think my Hummy is getting forgetful in it's old age.
For the second time in 3-4 weeks, I've had to manually power on the Hummy, as the 4am schedule to talk to RS didn't fire, to be greeted by the 'Welcome' wizard.
The custom firmware and all its settings are there - but the 'core' box has...
Hi,
Firstly, I'm back. I know you've all missed me terribly. What do you mean you don't remember me? Ah well.
I moved to a flat with no TV aerial, Hummy when in a box when on eBay. Guy in Scotland bought it, had a few weeks, smashed it up (literally with a hammer) then eBay claimed it, and...
Thanks for the quick reply.
I will probably do exactly as you advise - but I was posting just on the off chance someone went "hang on, I'll get a shell in my garage..." or something ;)
I take your advice re. custom firmware too.
Perhaps a sneaky link to here will educate them on what you can...
Hey guys,
After moving to a new property without an aerial and having to move to Virgin (though 162mbit/sec broadband is freakin' awesome!) I finally sold my Humax Fox HDR-T2 (1TB) on eBay.
A couple of weeks after the lucky winner received the item, he lodged a complaint with eBay that there...
Web interface shows all the channels reordered nicely, but on the guide on the Humax I have every channel I've moved duplicated? So two BBC One HD on channel 1, two ITVs, etc...
Do I need to purge a cache somewhere?
Currently I'm only using the Humax torrents for TV Episodes - and there's not much good US stuff at the moment I've got into, so the load is light.
I do have a WHS which does all my 'normal' torrents - and I have "SCU" (SCene Unpacker) which Unrar's things into folders depending on type, etc...
Ah, I get it now. Perfect, thanks :)
Could we get unrar compiled for Humax and then triggered by Transmission... ?
And special folders as in the ones created in My Videos by Undelete and EasyNetworkMount :)
So, created the config.yml, found the settings.json for Transmission, all tweaked as the post above, and all running great!
Even tweaked Transmission to plonk its finished downloads in a [Torrents] folder instead of torrents - so it's like the other "special" folders in My Videos.
Simple...
Morning all.
Watched this thread with interest - returned from holiday to find it's come a long way!!
Upon installing, I get this error:
>>> opkg install flexget
Installing flexget (1.0r2710) to root...
Downloading http://hummypkg.org.uk/hdrfoxt2/base/flexget_1.0r2710_mipsel.opk...
Agreed.
Perhaps AR will settle when the network wide change over is complete and the BBC and the like don't need to broadcast on the legacy T1 and just do full spec T2 ;)
Is London the last area? I'm due April 2012. Can't wait, as it means I'll finally get HD on my small local transmitter...
