I had issues with this and it was to do with the HDMI settings here on my Philips TV - cant recall what I changed in these settings but a fiddle with this fixed the handshake issues.
Sorry should have mentioned, already tried that one.
I rebooted into normal mode after about 36 hours of doing it's thing. All seemed normal with recordings all there. So got it back into maintenance mode to retry fix disk to see if more errors would be evident and it's doing the same thing...
I upgraded my drive a couple of months back with a 1TB AV-25 (PVR friendly drive - model WD10JUCT.)
The drive actually came out of a working Fox T2 so I know it was fine. The upgrade went well and it was freshly formatted as new. All seemed well but after a while noticed the odd recording come...
Thanks for the comments. I've reset the DNLA database but I had to do this twice as the first time I did it it, when switching Content Share back on, the box crashed and rebooted. The second attempt worked fine.
af123 - you advised to install crashdiag - is it not already installed or is that a...
This may not be directed related to the custom firmware but I thought I'd try here first as I've run the obvious diagnostics with nothing pointing to the problem. The only thing I can see that might be, clutching at straws. is the fact that I have a very poor signal that does cause some...
I'm looking at putting in a laptop disk as I'm thinking of putting the box in the bedroom and its needs to be super quiet. Looking at a 2TB drive and I'm wondering if anyone can report that these drives are ok as there aren't designed for PVR/DVR usage. Also are the quieter? Also I'm assuming...
thanks for that info and the other posts on this thread by you guys on here. So to clarify does that just mean it does do fast forward/rewind on playback?
I've recently got a T2 and 'm looking at getting a Foxsat HDR, partly for this very purpose as the room where I have the T2 doesn't have a proper freeview aerial.
So I'm thinking having the T2 mainly for playing back the Foxsat's recordings. I've got the Fox T2 customised firmware and it all...
Thanks. Yes its definitely the drive, not the fan. I'm noticing the chatter/thuddingh noise more as the case/cover is off. (the fan addon is mighty cool, pun intended)
Sounds easy enough to change drives then, I take it then a swap means no further flashing is needed, just an easy, less stressy...
I've put the custom firmware on and all seems good, just getting my head around the various functions and what I can do with it. So newbie question......I was thinking of putting in a 2.5 laptop drive as its likely (well hopefully) going to be much quieter. (the existing drive does thud a bit...
