Semantics really, any normal person knows what I mean. I see what you mean regarding the topic not being in the CF section but I present to the court your post #16 m'lud ...
Nup, SMB all the way between the two humax's. I see what you say about the deadly embrace but it doesn't seem to bother the machines, I just don't choose the mirrored mount.
<yawn..>.. seen that with the link to post #244, doesn't work otherwise I wouldn't have asked.... In fact I've realised that the actual solution that does work is a variation on jsrobo's instructions. Here's what works for me which is not what Blackhole posted in his post. This is up and...
Hi BH. The network shares automount is a massive topic and I've read the stuff above! Can you point me to something showing the configuration for two HDR's sharing each others HDDs to each other successfully. I saw one post which said only one could be server and one client, but that's not the...
FYI - I just received the Tenda W311U+ from Amazon. It works but didn't recognise my network. I had to change my router channel from Wide - ch 3 and Std ch 1, to wide ch 11 and std ch 9. This was the first altered channel configuration I tried which worked as soon as i made he change. I now...
Shi*, Wish I'd seen this before buying a second 7711UAn.... Mine doesn't work either whereas my old one does. This one has the 8.1 compatible on the box...

Ran the short fix-disk and it repaired a few more sectors, but couldn't find an 'LBA' and wanted to do a long one again... I have ordered another HDD, which is 2Tb vs my 1Tb anyway. Think I'll start from scratch...
Damn it! WebIf will not install now.... I am getting the "download and install the full web interface yellow" button, pressing it and then success messages. But then going back to the IP address having done an standby and on/off cycle brings me back to the yellow button. I have tried telnet for...
Progress! Managed to get firmware updating again. I used the off switch prior to inserting the USB; I must have only been going from standby before, but i was sure I had waited for the disk to spin down, and I thought a firmware upgrade worked with that method .. maybe not.
Anyway, I am now...
Would be great if a whole new cycle of mods began on the latest boxes. Especially if they have better processors. I have remained committed to the HDR FOX T2 mostly because of the active CF community and added features created here.
