    HMT file format

Ahh, I have it, there are (at least) 2 branches ... grabbed the foxsat one, that builds pretty straightforwardly . Just cleaned up the lint because I like clean compiles. Seems to run OK too.

    HMT file format

OK, now I'm a bit confused. I built the code, I needed to add hummypkg/libxconv ...and spent a while messing around with building static & shared library flavours, it "ran" as in getting usage Ok, but blew up on the 1st hurdle reading a real .hmt file (the magic number was zero , not 0x1701...

    HMT file format

Coming even later to the party (are there any of those nibbles left?) is the source for the hmt(1) command available anywhere. I keep "moving" all the files to my computer then realise I would like to decode the .hmt files (so I need to move these back ...bit silly really)

    Interesting Series CRID

I just tried to set up a series recording on itv2+1 , and ended up with the settings shown(image) . If I click on the more EPG-series-search, it throws up the following: SCRID:/1435093925 SCRID:/ebs44014 SCRID:/ebs44013 So if I've understood, what appears to be one series (on itv2, repeated...

Electricity blues... and greens, and reds...

The ones that caused me problems were in a bathroom ceiling , where each bulb had a transformer (heavy so probably actually a transformer) but it took the voltage down from 240v to 12v (for Halagon , IIRC) then the bulb had some internal "gadget" to take it from 12v to 5v .... this latter...

Electricity blues... and greens, and reds...

240v ones ? or conversion of old 12v ? The issue is only WRT low (e.g. 12v) voltage systems

Electricity blues... and greens, and reds...

For folks who are replacing "low voltage" (e.g.12v) bulbs with LED versions. Before you wholesale commit to a particular setup, I suggest you do a test: With the lights off, tune a FM radio to a channel of your choice (may be worth repeating at differing frequencies) Turn on the LEDs and...

    Default Authority Updated

Thanks, sounds more reasonable . Not what cordbusters said though (popular press I guess :-) )

    Default Authority Updated

I see that All (?) Humax boxes stopped recording a couple of days back (talk of it here on this forum) (and also www dot cordbusters dot co.uk freesat-recording-fails-humax/ ) I'm guessing the "fix" Humax rolled out is not in the updates (e.g. above) I noticed my yes Minister recording was...

HDR-FOX T2 to HDHomeRun, my journey

Coming to this rather late, but is he not simply looking for MythTV ? (or I guess XMMP) I built a Myth Box with 2 freeview tuners , hardly used once I'd built it .... Humax with Custom firmware was much easier.

Hi, some of you guys need to look at your Humax security

Adding HTTPS would mean that the password would not be sent in clear text over the wire ... if you sniff packets while somebody is using telnet (and I assume http) you can see the password in cleartext .... that said, I doubt anybody (other than your ISP) is sniffing your packets ... too much...

    Custom Firmware Weirdness. Absolutely stumped.

This does raise a concern. The original drives in my Humax will eventually die (possibly before the PSU or other parts) at that point I planned to put in a "bigger disk" has "technology" and "the market" now moved on, such that it will get increasingly hard to find suitable disks ? ...If so...

Hi, some of you guys need to look at your Humax security

I'm in the process of re-installing a Humax box and doing a Google search I came across at least two guys who have had the entire contents of the Humax indexed by google. One of these (at least) has his box completely open , anybody could install or remove software from it (and indeed watch the...

Instead of new image ... a NAS?

I was thinking of the Humax HB-1000S (http://www.humaxdirect.co.uk/product.asp?ProdRef=10114) ...I'm coming to this 'cold' I have a FoxSat HDR ... I was just looking to see if they did a FreeView+FreeeSat , My TV does both , I find it useful and the channel sets are different. In terms of...
