    Foxsat-HDR remote control RM-F01.

Thanks to both of you for your interest and helpful suggestions. (I also use an HDR-Fox T2 so I may also treat myself to a replacement for that.) I asked dcsalesint if they had an F01 in stock and they had one, albeit a used one which looked in good condition from the photo, so I bought it just...

    Foxsat-HDR remote control RM-F01.

Time has come for me to treat my Foxsat-HDR to a new RM-F01 remote control. I've opened and cleaned my one many times but as most of the wee retaining clips have long since snapped off, I've decided to replace it. What is the current thinking about replacements available on the market? Is there...

    Skew angle.

Thanks for the excellent find of the dishpointer site. I put in my details and here's the result......

    Agreed! Thanks.

    Skew angle.

When I took the photo I was aware that I had to take it with as little ambiguity as possible, so I used the dish supporting pole as a reference. ( I suppose I could have got more height and positioned it in the middle of the dish!) That's why I was thinking along the lines of the teens° rather...

    Skew angle.

Thank you for both your comments, gents, I now have a starting point of between 4° and 5°. I also took a photo from the front to give me an idea of the existing skew. As it happens, the 20-odd year old LNB wasn't the problem with my signal and I have now rectified the fault but will be replacing...

    Skew angle.

Thanks for your reply and interest. The first photo shows my existing LNB set up by Sky (when I was a subscriber) and conveniently using the fixing bracket as a reference locating point. The markings are on the side of the LNB. The second photo shows my replacement LNB which has the markings on...

    Skew angle.

I am replacing my LNB. My new one has the skew angles set out in degrees (45 - 0 - 45) whereas my old one is set out in 1,2,3,4,5. (Currently set at "3", although I am in Zone 4 - North of Scotland, according to the excellent satcure co site.) Can anyone help with a conversion from just numbers...

Foxsat - HDR - "no or bad signal"

Thanks Graham. I have only one transmitter in the area. My EPG tells me I have channels 1 - 257. There was an interruption to the electricity supply today and the power has just come on, so I'll have a browse through the T2 part of the forum to see if my problem with the intermittent start...

Foxsat - HDR - "no or bad signal"

Thanks for your reply Trev. I'll have a thorough search through the T2 section to see if the startup problem has already been covered before I post my question.

Foxsat - HDR - "no or bad signal"

Luke.....Thanks for your sensible/helpful comments! I did say I was not technically-minded and now realise that, of course, the Freeview is connected to the aerial in the loft. I jumped to the wrong conclusion when I saw the two cables coming through the wall. We all have skills in different...

Foxsat - HDR - "no or bad signal"

I'm running a Foxsat-HDR and a HDR-Fox T2 Freeview, both connected to a dual LNB from my outside satellite dish. Yesterday, I noticed that on the Foxsat-HDR the programmes I had scheduled for recording did not record. This evening I paid closer attention and found that as soon as a recording...
