Looks like detectads is proving useful to many and I'm keen to join them. I've tried it with various recordings all with ads, but so far all give a log like this one, ending in apparent failure to detect any ads. Is it really that hit and miss, could I be doing something wrong or have an odd...
Update: Recently I tried again to access my vob files from Humax (both HDR-Fox T2 and HD-Fox T2) and for the first time ever (for me), all files where there and play fine. I don't know what changed - I've tried unsuccessfully since the last release of Humax firmware on both boxes. The other...
I notice that the HD-FOX is now able to access the HUMAX portal again.
Of course, iPlayer just goes to display the BBC's "device not supported" page. So BootHDR is still the way to go.
Another thank you for this reminder about the Boot-HDR package ...great to have iPlayer working again!
A shame that Humax haven't been responsive and so just seem to have abandoned an old but still very useful bit of kit. So much for environmental concerns! I will be cautious about adding to my...
thanks HarveyB; I'm guessing it may also be the humax client that needs to empty a cache because simply rescanning didn't fix it.
and yes, the thumbnails are viewable in the photos media mode.
starting to look like a humax bug.
Thanks for the replies.
To clarify; I can play vob files over DLNA. e.g. I obtain a file using DVDShrink (let's say called "film.vob"); place it on my NAS drive.... the video is then visible on the Humax and plays fine. If I then place a jpg file of the same name (in the example, "film.jpg")...
I have a long standing and frustrating problem with the Humax HDR-Fox T2. The problem is that I can't get the unit to list vob files located on my NAS unit over DLNA. The same files are seen by other DLNA clients - e.g. Sony TV, playstation and various laptops. Also, the same file structure...
Just to say, thanks for this. I would have posted sooner but was caught out by the recent DNS problem.
As suggested by the advice - I just needed to copy the encrypted recordings onto the main drive, wait for the Enc flags to disappear and then copy them back to the USB drive.
I also experienced the picture break ups when I first installed CF (recently). I put it down to over enthusiastic copying on my part, as I sought to take advantage of the auto-unprotect functionality.
I don't have undelete installed. Though I may have been deleting files at the same time as...
I just started using CF (2.20) and I've let it de-crypt my existing recordings. Most recordings are now marked "Dec" as expected.
Some files won't de-crypt, even after reseting auto-unprotect a couple of times - the Enc flag remains stubbornly in place. These files seem to be on the external...
I started getting constant reboots after a power fail on my Humax HDR. The reboot was occurring 30-90 seconds I after the restart,
The machine was in paused live TV mode at the time and I eventually fixed the problem by quickly doing a new paused TV session before the crash could occur...
I noticed that on the humax HD and HDR boxs I could see only a few items from my library served over DLNA.
Until this morning I assumed this due to the 4gb problem but i hadn't read and understood that problem properly.
When I upgraded to the latest beta firmware and my video library was still...
