Should have added that when the box is manually turned on, there isn't a problem.....it only happens when it is turned on using the 'timer' function, but even then I still have to subsequently turn back on Content Share
I've had my box for a couple of years now, and thought that I knew my way round it. However, I never realised until the other day that there was a time on/off setting (Menu>Settings>Preferences>Time). Does anyone know why whilst the box is on under these conditions, access to recording...
I'd just like to thank everyone for their invaluable advice. I think it's pretty clear where the UK and other countries will be with TV reception in a few years time!
Of course you're not. The checker for my postcode says I should be able to receive Quest HD. I (probably like 90% of the UK population) just have aerial-shaped joined together bits of old aluminium on the chimney pot that previously 'did the job'. Which could be the problem. A simple reply such...
No channels appear on C55. Strength and Quality are both at zero. As for re routing the aerial cable, it's down the side of the house. Think I'll just live with it and pay a percentage of my license fee next year! Why when something works the powers that be need to fiddle with it is beyond me
Is this correct what I have done? No problems picking up other HD channels, although to get Quest HD on the old frequency I had to put in an inline signal amplifier. If I can get other HD channels, surely I can even pick up a weak Quest HD?
I did read somewhere about a retune being needed due to some frequencies now being needed for the roll out of 5g between 22nd and 25th June. I've retuned twice and am missing some channels (especially Quest HD). The Humax box keeps asking me to retune and gives these results (see jpeg)...
Wireless. I've noticed channel 6 pop up for my neighbour, which clashes. I've changed ours to 1, I'll keep my eye on it. Incidentally, is there any advantage to leaving it at auto?
Probably not a Humax question, but why does the d/l rate over my home network to pc vary so much? Sometimes it drops as low as 40kb/s, other times as high as 6mb/s. I would assume the signal is just Humax>router>pc?
Just assumed that it would. What would be the point of having a folder on it for pictures, unless that's just designed for viewing via the usb stick? Or is that what it is designed for?
Is there a guide to setting this up? I'm trying to cast an mp4 file from the video folder on W10 to an 1800T. When I right click on the file the option 'cast to device' is not picking up the 1800T, it's picking up a neighbour's printer instead? I can successfully d/l files from the box to pc...
