Sorry, guess I was not up to speed, I imagined being stuck in wizzard mode may have been a common glitch, I guess it may have updated/whatever overnight.

As expected took out the smart TV, still had the old analogue to connect, was able to step through the wizzard and we are back where we want to be, hummy still in the loop in case, thanks for the reply's and all the best in the new year.

hi prpr, I found the disable-ota package did not always disable and some times I would switch on and be asked to auto retune, what do I know, after the retune I have to enter the network settings, provider and password etc, then I need to setup the software remote on a static address or my lappy...

Many thanks MontysEvilTwin af123, I had to retune and power on was not available in packages (installed or available) or settings, in fact it took me a while to work out what I was missing.

Sorry all cannot work this out myself, had 'power on' package and set to BBC1 hd, no problems for years, now seems to have disappeared with the upgrades. Now we mostly turn on to BBC redbutton.... No big deal but how do I get switch on/boot and have BBC1 hd the default, is this even possible ?

Thanks for this post, my Humax HDR Fox T2 was 1.02.29 and iplayer was reporting as unsupported, surprise to me as was good last time I used it ! anyway, downloaded the HDR_FOX_T2_1.03.12_mod_3.00.zip and unzipped, onto memory stick and loaded. Worked a treat, much easier than I was expecting...

Interesting, thanks for that, no cfl's in the lounge - tungsten & a couple of nifty 1w led golfballs in table lamps. Have cfl's in the next room - horrible things - will see what's switched on when the remote next trips out, no problems since post#19 yesterday.

Have a problem where the hummy forgets to 'see' the remote, seems random but may be to do with the hummy getting warm? best I can think of. Still works the TV and DVD off the other buttons, but PVR comes and goes, almost always good when first switched on. Rang Humax and they kindly supplied...
