Thanks for the pointers guys. I hadn't thought of that approach. I was thinking whether it was possible to get a Linux application running on the Hummy - such as PYKaraoke.
I don't have the knowledge and skills to attempt to get an app running but can experiment with the file conversion...
Anyone know if it is possible to run a karaoke player on the HDR T2 ?
My daughter has some CD+G discs and rather than stack another player under the tele it'd be neater to rip them to the Hummy HD and play from there.
Not sure why I was having trouble then - working now anyway, just donated.
HarveyB - what is the AF123 site you refer to - I'd like to donate there too ?
Hi Wallace,
No nothing new on the network.
Currently have the network cable unplugged to negate that source of potential problem.
O, and no Twonky - just TV, XBox, Powerline Network adapaters, printer and an asus router - 4 or 5 wireless clients - mac, android, etc.
Hi Michael,
I Tried to donate tonight - it said your PP account wasn't accepting payments !
Will try again when you've got it working again.
Thanks for a great site.
Hi Exra - can I access this firmware somehow ?
I've been trying different firmwares - the picture now appears but freezes and reboots after about 10 seconds of audio - any ideas ?
In case it is relevant - I upgraded to a 2TB disc 3 weeks ago - all went well - the old disc started to fail...
