FVP5000T problems solved, but why don't they tell you this !

We had terrible problems with freezing and picture break-up with our FVP5000T and I eventually contacted Humax support for an answer. Initially I was told to do a Factory Reset. I did this, twice, and each time it was OK for a day or so before the problems returned. They suggested I replace the...

HDR-2000T picture freezes momentarily during live TV

Many thanks for the quick reply. I did think it looked a bit like a PC having 'hiccups' during HDD activity but since this is a fairly new box I'm surprised the HDD would need attention this early ? We had the old 9200 for many years and NEVER had to re-format the drive ? We have only...

HDR-2000T picture freezes momentarily during live TV

Once I had exchanged the original box for a new one and removed all the '800' channels our HDR-2000T appears to be fairly stable regarding total freezing. However, now it frequently freezes for a few seconds during LIVE TV ? Has anyone else come across this or do we have ANOTHER 'duff' box ...

    HDR-2000T freezes

Many thanks. I'd better get rid of those '800' channels then and if we want the local Meridian news I'll just have to use the TV's own tuner instead !

    HDR-2000T freezes

Thanks again, Luke. I did automatic search and yes, we do get reception from 2 transmitters - London and Southern. When I did the Set Up the Humax found both and asked which I wanted and I chose London. However, a few Southern channels have been saved in the '800' section. I wanted to keep...

BBC iPlayer only goes back 1 week

Many thanks, Luke. I'd got confused by the fact that you have 30 days to watch programmes downloaded onto a PC but only 7 more days if you start to watch them before the 30 days are up.

BBC iPlayer only goes back 1 week

I have finally managed to connect my HDR-200T to my network and tried using the Humax Portal to catch up on missed BBC programmes. However, the BBC iPlayer app only shows programmes going back 1 week whereas on the web it is supposed to allow catch-up for 30 days ? Any ideas ?

    HDR-2000T freezes

The replacement HDR-2000T has not frozen but it has twice shown a new fault ! It says the selected station has no signal - i.e. the tuner sees no signal, despite the fact that the TV tuner is fine. Once more the only cure is to turn off the power at the wall and re-start. I am conmcerned...

    HDR-2000T freezes

Collected the replacement box from John Lewis this morning. Set it up and all seems fine for now. Fingers crossed that THIS one will be OK. Only thing that worries me is that the S/No is only 120 after the faulty one ! But I live in hope !

    HDR-2000T freezes

Many thanks for your help, Wallace. I checked the link then phoned John Lewis and arranged to do a swap. I do hope MY replacement one will be OK. Quite frankly I am very disappointed with this new model. The build quality appears to be well below my old 9200 and the lack of a front display...

    HDR-2000T freezes

Our new HDR-2000T has 'frozen' several times (i.e. will not respond to the Remote not to the front Touch panel). I have to switch off the power at the mains socket, wait a while then switch back on. It then takes ages to come back on after going through several stages of coming on then off...

Low optical sound volume on HDR-2000T

Many thanks for the suggestion. However, I already tried the sound settings - it was Multi-channel by default so I changed it to Stereo but it made no difference. I therefore re-set it to multi-channel. Any more ?

Low optical sound volume on HDR-2000T

I have just installed a new HDR-2000T to relpace our old Humax 9200. The TV is connected via HDMI and I have set the TV sound to zero. The sound output is sent to our Sony Home Cinema DVD system via the Optical connections. I have turned the Humax volume to MAX (20) but the volume on the Sony...
