Thanks guys, but with the Olympics just started we wanted to get things working (as far as we could) since lost recordings in our case were not very important to us (g'kids may disagree). Premature action is what I do I'm afraid, up until 2am trying to sort this LOL
Our 4000T (with 200 StdDef...
My Aura 1TB lost all recordings yesterday, including some "locked" ones, although the disk usage figure suggests that they are still on the Hard Drive.
Coincidentally it also popped up a message that a recording failed due to a loss of power, but indications suggest there was no loss of power...
Thanks guys, but it's complicated :(
1. I have a 4000T and a Panasonic (smart) TV in main room
I have to use Chan800 to get EPG info rather than Chan10. Since I edit the channel list to hide most of the "dross" channels I can't now see what other 800s were there.
The TV has zero 800 channels...
Re-tuned with smart option (to retain schedules), powered off (with mains plug removed). No padding. All works as it should with the late start problem no longer evident.
Thanks for comments and help guys :)
I do have a slight problem in that ITV3, Chan10 in the TV guide, does not show any...
So this thread has been "diverted" but I'm not precious, glad DaveCheltenham's problems appear solved.
I'm left with mine (lead post). I decided it was NOT due to the January software update as such. I originally added padding but was unhappy that that might cause additional problem - one...
Thanks Luke
Ok, here are three of the soaps' schedules
Chan5 13.45 - 14.15 Neighbours
5Star 18.30- 19.00 Home and Away
ITV 19.00 - 19.30 Emmerdale
The 5Star soap episode is broadcast as above schedule, and that same epoisode is broadcast (twice) the day AFTER on Chan 5.
FWIW I don't view...
Yes, still seeing the problem. But will analyse it tonight, again, to see if I can look beyond (as it were) the added padding and decide if it were just a glitch or still there.
I just needed to say :) that I now remember that this was called PDC (Programme Delivery Control)
Not particulary relevant now, I know, but just saying ............
It was not utilised by all channels, and this was in analogue days anyway. I'm sure whatever is in use in this digital age is far...
I'm glad you (DaveCheltenham) have found a solution :), but I looked at those settings and it refers to remote schedules set on another device, something that I don't do. The original problem that I posted in (my lead post) is still not solved.
Something has changed and I've assumed it was the...
Thanks
I would rather it adhered to programme guide timings, and it's not doing that. I remember years ago when some of the TV channels had a "new" "signal component" (can't remember what it was called) where a VCR (ooh, that long ago) would adjust timings triggered by this signal. Result was a...
Have been very happy with my 4000T but recently scheduled recordings are starting 5 minutes late so I miss the first 5 minutes of a programme, and often losing the end too.
For example set start 18.30 set end 19.00 - but recording starts at 18.35
Ok, I've just discovered "padding" but have...
I didn't know there was yet another forum, I've posted about humax PVRs (9200T, 9300T, 4000T) on three forums in the past, now another really spreads it thin :)
When a Super Mod / Staff Member suggests going to another forum it get's kinda confusing.
But thanks, I'll look there.
I lose the full recording schedule listing now and again (once per week). I currently have about 35 recordings scheduled and it only displays about 6 or 7. Recordings still happen so it is simply a display issue, however I have to reboot the 4000T in order to get this listing back again.
It's...
Just an update :
I now have found the best bet is to leave the TV on standby (not something I've ever done - old school), and the 4000T on standby
4000T now connected to HDMI2 (following a previous suggestion)
I select a channel on the TV to get it up and running, black/blank screen (which is...
