[Solved} WebIF Feature Request: Link Schedule Items to EPG Entry
I could see it being useful on occasion (when resolving conflicts) to be able to link to the EPG grid positioned to the correct day & time to help see which recordings are easiest to move- MymsMan

Presumably you mean the EPG grid view rather than the EPG search view (which is already available by clicking on CRID/SCRID) and would like that available for each scheduled episode of a series and not just the next scheduled episode. If someone were going to be making changes in that areas...- MymsMan

Skip and Fast Forward not working properly
The problem on the HDR T2 is known to be due to the Crop programme (use by deteactads) not correctly rebuilding the time stamps following crops and has no relevance to problems on the Aura- MymsMan

Also take a look at the HDHomeRun and the DVROnTime software which uses the broadcast EPG and Accurate recording EIT signals- MymsMan

No but it was the comment that was confusing me implying they disconnected the Smart TV to use an old TV with Scart - that should not have been needed- MymsMan

WHY? You should have been able to deal with the wizard using an HDMI connection from Humax to Smart TV without needing to use an analogue connection. If you don't have a working HDMI connection to your smart TV you wont be able to watch anything from the Humax and there is little point in...- MymsMan

Audio dropouts - PBS America ?
I have suffered short audio drop outs on all channels ever since getting my LG Smart TV several years ago. No solution has ever been found - it was put down to problems in the HDMI handshaking with the Humax. I haven't noticed as many recently but that could be because I am so used to to...- MymsMan

What is an malformed AAC bitstream?
I don't think a "malformed AAC bitstream" has actually been detected it is blindly applying a fix in case one does exist- MymsMan

If you can play the file, including audio, then there is nothing that needs fixing, if you cant then it needs to be fixed! I think in most cases there is nothing that needs to be fixed- MymsMan

Delete or Hold the problem causing entry in the queue database using the option on the Queue display to prevent it retrying again. (if it currently running it will run until it crashes but shouldn't restart)- MymsMan

Stuck @ Wizzard ?
Reverting to the initial set up wizard is a fairly common problem with the Humax, mine did it just before Christmas but before that several months ago. The wizard won't go away by itself - you need to go through all the stages of retuning and setting up options, but once done it should stay...- MymsMan

Recover Deleted Files?
On my system RS Recent Activity goes back no further than 07/12/2023 You may have more data in activity.log and its archives on the Humax depending of the how much you have chosen to keep on the Setting page and assuming the logs weren't included in the "housekeeping"- MymsMan

Did you decrypt before downloading via webif, copying to USB decrypts on the fly The sidecar files are not essential and are explained on the wiki and numerous forum trheads- MymsMan

For the purposes of any analysis you probably only need a short 5min segment rather than a full programme copy anyway. I am not sure what you hope to achieve - companies are very reluctant to change procedure that, in their view, work perfectly adequately- MymsMan

Event scheduled via RS forgot to reboot, now event has been and gone. Future series possible to be introduced in schedule?
But the people who had runaways in that thread are also those recommending that you use Real Time Scheduling. The most common causes of runaway recordings were debugged and resolved several years ago. These days they are very rare and if they do occur all you have to do is to press the stop...- MymsMan

SCRIDs
Poor design of original epg format. They should have designed in specific fields for New/Repeat indicators, series and episode numbers Having to parse such details from the programme description with no consistency as to how (if at all) they will be presented is not good. -

That is because it is a week of repeats of an old festive HoG, which is followed by two weeks of a new festive HoG - with of course yet another SCRID We also have SCRID changes for Christmas University Challenge, QI XL and no doubt many others that I haven't spotted yet" Meanwhile Countdown...
