I've just tried the epg on my newly acquired grade A HDR, now on 1.03.12 (updated from 1.03.11). I have one timer set.
I noticed that scrolling down through the full TV epg speeded up when it got to the adult channels. Could this be because the amount of data is so much less than for normal...
No it isn't.
I may not have explained very clearly but my last post in the other thread makes it clear:- it was the program synopsis which was not correct.
The problem I am asking about now is the program name being incorrect. As I said in post #2, I think I understand why rename doesn't change...
I'm aware of that but this is a different problem which I didn't explain very clearly.
Pressing i on a file in the media list displays "file information". In this instance the program name displayed is the previous (cropped) program. I wanted to know if it was possible to edit it.
Update:
I realise now that the program name is taken from the epg data so that is presumably why rename doesn't change it. Is there any way to change the program name displayed in file information?
I've just used nicesplice to crop a file which started with the end of the previous program and after cropping I used the rename option to change the Filename, Medialist Title, Synopsis and Genre. But when I press i on the remote the file information still shows the original program name. Any...
af123, thanks for looking into this. For my purpose editing the synopsis is perfectly acceptable. I will only need to do it to about a dozen recordings.
I don't understand the technicalities of the CF but I'm very glad it's available. Thanks to all responsible.
Thanks for the replies.
af123 - I tried cropping after editing the name and synopsis but no change. I didn't know the synopsis could be edited so if I have to I can simply enter the correct info. Thanks for that.
I looked at the Wiki before I started.
I set 4 bookmarks to crop the beginning, end and an advert break. That worked perfectly, but the first two times that I played the cropped file pressing "i" showed program information from the first part of the original recording (info from the previous...
I've just used nicesplice for the first time and the result wasn't what I expected.
The beginning of the recording had program information from the previous program and I wanted to crop that away to the point where the information was correct. After performing the crop the new file still had the...
There are post on Digital Spy about poor reception and missing channels due to the current high pressure.
This is affecting Waltham and its relays and Emley Moor relays, and maybe others.
I'm using a URC-7960 with two HDRs, a sat receiver, a dvd player, a tv and a HDMI switch. One For All told me they could program in codes for Humax modes 2-6 and a code for my sat receiver, but that meant sending the remote to them. I didn't want to wait so used the learn function. It has volume...
I don't need to, but I'm thinking of connecting a new drive and wondered how the HD-Fox would cope with a "blank" disc because of the CF.
I should get my network running soon so there will be no problem then (hopefully!).
Thanks for the replies.
I didn't explain very well. The HD-FOX has CF installed and the usb drive has folders which appeared at that time. This is the same drive I use for recording. I don't currently have a connection to the internet from the HD-FOX because I am moving house. So the question...
If I format the usb drive on my HD T2, does the system load up the the additional folders etc needed for CF operation, or do I have to do something via the Web-if? I currently don't have access to the Humax from my computer.
Thanks, I can now change the thumbnail, however I still don't get a thumbnail displayed in media details in the web-if.
I haven't re-booted since installing ffmpeg (because of a recording) so that may be why.
If not, any other suggestions?
