Queue.db seems to be responsible for a number of issues. Perhaps it is worth a simple system of deleting it somewhere in in webif or telnet menu, or an easily found set of instructions for the uninitiated, like myself. Sticky?
I normally have to ask after failing to find the code.
I have my boxes connected to the TVs by HDMI, but I also have RCA connections coming out of the back of each which I sometimes connect to cheap monitors from Amazon, intended for car reversing cameras. These allow me to keep an eye on what is happening onscreen without tying up the TV.

I don't know of any objections. In fact I thought it might actially aid the members on here who help me solve issues from time to time, to understand that I am sometimes using a phone and therefore posts may be brief or contain spelling mistakes. Or that I am not able to...
Yes, I did say it was still working. Just wondering for how long, as appears to have been removed from Play store.

Does anyone know what is happening to Tapatalk?
I just got an email from Google Playstore saying my VIP (ad free) subscription has been cancelled. When I look for the app in Play store, it is no longer available. Still working and still on IOS.
Does anyone use an alternative?

The fixdisk finished with no errors flagged up, but read-only is mentioned below.
I then downloaded webif from catalogue and then tried to copy to the Humax (as I did with my previous issue with ir), but I am not able to get Filezilla to connect. I have tried turning on the native FTP server...
Thanks Mymsman and blackhole
Yes, I did uninstall beta-opkg because of the previous issue with ir (well deduced). I have given up on ir because of the ongoing problems.
I will try a manual install of webif when fixdisk has completed ( in case drive gone read only).

When I went to one of my boxes via webif today, I got the " Custom Firmware Successfully Installed" screen with the option to "Download and Install Full Web Interface". Had this in the past, but this time can't get out of the loop.
The install option gives the error in the screenshot...
One of mine is dated 27th July - Tom Jones.bmp, so they are not from a superseded version of a package as was first suggested. I also have an error in the queue relating to the thumbnail generation for that recording. the others (I have been deleting most as I find them) are too old to still be...
When archiving recordings via Filezilla I have noticed a number of .bmp files sitting amongst some of the recording sets. Obviously these are not visible in the file browser, so don't get deleted.
Are these part of the process which generates the thumbnail? I have the thumbnails package...
OK. I have downloaded the ir package onto my PC. I have used Filzilla to add a folder named "git" in /hd2/mod/and uploaded the file to that folder.
I have then run
HDR2# /mnt/hd2/mod/git # opkg install --force-downgrade ir_1.17_mipsel.opk...
It became partially uninstalled, along with several other packages, when ir version 1.20 crashed all four boxes. See the HDRs All Getting Hot thread of a few days ago (sorry, can't link from phone).
Fix-flash-packages resolved the problem once I had been guided as to what the problem actually...
I had seen that, but assumed as it was still in the available list a previous version had replaced it, temporarily.
Certainly, if I uninstall opkg-beta ( what I intended to say, above), then version 1.17 should install. Am I missing something?

I agree. At the moment ir has uninstalled itself from all four of my boxes. Version 1.20 will not install. If I delete opkg-update, I get the same issue with version 1.17
>>> opkg install ir
Installing ir (1.20) to root...

I have Wi-fi smart plugs attached to each of my boxes, scheduled to power off for 5 minutes around 5:15.
If I get a “has not been seen ..” email from RS, I can reboot remotely if not at home. Of course the RS email is only relevant if the box is expected to be on.
This may help achieve what...
Looks like it is now running on HDR4 not so obvious on other boxes. Will run fix-flash-packages and reboot each box in turn.
