Well I've never had to do a manual tune before despite being in range (if you consider Ayelsbury to be "in range" of Crystal Palace!!) of thre transmitters, and the september retune went without a hitch - so I'm hoping atmosphrics last night disrupted signal acquisition and an auto-retune...
Maybe a complete red herring, but I have a 1TB T2 HDR, and after about 3 months of ownership I started to get blank periods of playback, albeit with no sound, and eventually 2-3 minutes worth after which I got a "this service is scrambled" notice just before replay re-commenced. Rewinding and...
What web inerface are you referring to? I assume you mean the one you can get at by connecting your Hummy to t'internet? I did have this for a while, but disable it after a couple of instances of the box freezing whilst I was looking through the media menu (which I read somewhere might have...
So, when looking at the channel numbers on the Digital TV UK site for my best transmitter (Oxford) some of the multiplex channels ahve "+" or "-" after them, some don't.
What's the significance?
Your hot link no worky (this time - oops it does now!) but I'd already been there (I'm guessing it's the "what everyone should know" section) and printed the instructions for a manual retune :)
What's irritating is that in the September one everything was fine and dandy. maybe the weather...
Quite odd really. On the occasion of the previous retune (9/9 I think) the Hummy did it's auot-search thing (I had no idea in advance anything was going to happen, as I don't frequent here unless I have problems!!) and, apart from all the dross returninf to the EPG and of course the deletion of...
Well I hadn't seen this re-tune coming (not had any major issues beyond freezing during "media" navigation - solved by removing the wireless dongle, which I haven't used much - I have iPlayer etc on the TV itself too and don't stream from/to a computer), so when we switched on to watch a...
Hmmm, mine did this, and I know I found a fix on here that didn't involve editing/deleting any files. I needed to do a factory reset to cure the playback freezing/skipping issue. Damned if I can remember what I did though - other than perhaps unplugging from mains and leaving for a couple of...
I didn't know either - I've been looking for a feature similar to that on the Toppy where, once in playback mode, if you typed in 35 the playback jumped to 35% of the way throuh the recording - useful for cutting out all the chat before a grand prix, or skipping through the all day recordings of...
Well it took me a bit longer, and the ftp never worked - set it up and it said 2 days to transfer! So after the box stopped recording altogether, I did a reset/format, took about 5 minutes, and (although I lost all my recordings) the box is bcak as new. We'll see how long it lasts this time...
The skipping of time on playback of a recording isn't due to signal strength reduction - to be clear there is no pause in the playback, just a jumbled sequence of maybe 1 second, and the playback continues, but 1-2 minutes further on in the programme. Likewise the freezing/blacking out of...
Looks like you may have the same problem as me, and as this guy
http://www.avforums.com/forums/pvrs-vcrs/1536539-humax-hdr-fox-t2-skipping-during-playback.html
I also get frrezing during playback - blank screen for 1 minute, but when it restarts I can rewind and all recording is there - only...
Ok, can you go through that step by step for me please? (apologies for being dense :() How do I get the IP address from the Humax - in one of the menus? (I'm assuming this transfer can be done wirelessly, and I have set up the wireless connection between the Humax and my router, but I've not...
So, will that "decrypt" them? Or do I not need to do that if they're going back onto the same Hummy? O may not have enough HDD space on my laptop, but presumably once FTP'd I could archive to CD/DVD? What programme would you suggest for the FTP?
Just seen this thread on AV forums - same issue as me (I not only get "freezing" of playback, but also shrtened recordings where the recorded programme "scrambles" and skips forwards a minute of so - evidenced by the recording length being shorter than usual). He copied his files off, and...
