That is the route I intend to go down, hence my question of if anyone has had any success with any named switch/matrix so I don't take an unecessary gamble !- mcentee2

Presumbly because by going via the TV for sound adds complexity with switching control, and the TV out might lose rhat precious surround. Memory fails me 🙂 lets say first post for a looooong time. Just shows how good the HDR is !- mcentee2

Good idea! That way i don't necessarily need to use ARC and CEC, as am pretty sure amongst all my testing this got confusing for the poor devices My logitech Harmony remote should be able to cope. I need to check if the raw (or decoded) 5.1 is passed from the HDR Freeview HD channels through...- mcentee2

HDR Fox T2 Green HDMI sort of fix
First post I think! Hoping someone can help and/or explain my experience. My HDR is one of the first "horizontal" hardware builds. It has worked absolutely fine with my 2011 Samsung UE40D6530 TV from the time I got them. Earlier this week I upgraded (slightly) my amp to a Yamaha rx-v387...- mcentee2

Just us two then - mine is still the same. It's not brilliant but it doesn't affect how the portal works - once the visually impaired can work out which "icon" they have selected :)- mcentee2

Hi - not sure if this is a usual thing, but my TV Portal has a black background screen, no icons or tiles, just the text names of the services spread out over the screen. The text changes from white to light blue when selected - very hard to see it esp for other members of the family who...- mcentee2

Wow, bow scrape! Early morning as well :) No problem then as I won't be streaming from the HDR - however as the unencrypt uses wget, am I thinking it will have to cycle through the now "missing "files ? Or, as you did mention before, I should just leave it and the db will sort itself out...- mcentee2

Right - now in a position to start archiving off some ts and sidecar files to my PC share, but before I do so I'm wondering how this will affect any of the DB data ? I can either use Windows file manager to move, or I can use webif - anything I ought to take note of ?- mcentee2

I'll take a look at that - seems like a choice between manual intervention for each recording at the setting point, or an auto-move *after* the recording. Ta.- mcentee2

Yes, I've now Decrypted in place so I get an enencrypted file in the original directory on the HDR, and a backup of hte original encrypted file iin a subfolder. I've used SAMBA to copy off the decrypoted file to my PC and it retains the original filename. I would like to be able to copy the...- mcentee2
