Ok, will look at unencrypt, sound just the thing. Then I'm usign good old ethernet to the PC via SAMBA as suggested - now I need to find a good media server forthe PC that can serve the TS file and maybe use the otehr file(s) info from (nts or somethng..).
Thanks all for help.
I'm doing a Decrypt in place at the moment, so will SAMBA and sneakernet it after and post back, many thanks :)
edit: Should have asked, is there any way to Bulk Decryt In-Place, or auto it once a recording is finished ? Then I can transfer at leisure.
Hi - tried to do a search but couldn't find an answer, so forgive straight question!
In WebIf I am looking at an HD file that has been unENC flagged, but not decrypted yet. When I "Download" (from Opt+) it saves to my PC but it doesn't keep the filename or any meta details, I am only seeing...
At risk of repeating myself :)
Even given this decision by TV makers, I still can't reason why they don't include Dolby surround capability with external speaker conenctions - the TV can still be as thin as they want it to be!
Thanks for suggestions.
I am at the point where I can see my AV telling me its applying Dolby Pro, in which case my assumption is the source is stereo (of some sort), ot its saying its a Dolby Digital source, so I'm as happy as I can be without having any definitive source info.
I concur with the OP re Sound options (long post, but worth it, well to me anyway).
I've recently gone from a Panasonic with built in surround-sound with rear/front/centre/subwoofer speaker terminals, to a new Samsung ue40d6530 LED with two crappy speakers in.
Although I can understand space...
Ah, so could the big "S" I have been looking at actually means Stereo and not Subtitle ?
Edit: Hmm, the big S means "Series".
So, I can only assue that there is not actual Stereo icon, just obvious it is stereo, unless a Dolby or multichannel appears.
Thanks - but, thats just it you see, I'm trying to find out if my amp is treating the input as it should do - and it would help if I knew what the source was to begin with :)
Hi - is there anywhere that can show what the audio channels format are being broadcast ? On my Samsung tv it says whether it is stereo or 5.1 but the HDR doesn't show when I press Info ?
Thids took nearly an hour to return an EPG search for Show category. Funny as when I looked on the box guide the EPG search wasn't showing up any BBC stuff until just now...
Hi - just sat downt o go through the EPG on WebIF and its running like a dog and not returning anything on Category searches - Now and NExt comes back with something eventually.
Running WebIF 0.6.6 from this morning, and mod 1.11
Here is my Top screen - anything unusual?
Mem: 82812K used...
Thanks - no rush though, there are probably more important and useful things for you to be doing - I was just curious if there was a technical reason :)
Hi - as a new HDR user I am so happy I found you guys :)
I have invested in a Logitech Harmony remote so I can now control my system to do what I want it to do rather than it be in charge ;)
As part of this I can set Activities, like Watch TV, that will switch on the relvant boxes...
Just updated - v1.11 and webif 0.6.6 works fine for me for remote recordings.
Can I ask is there a reason why the EPG isn't laid out in an "extended" now/next, like on the hdr itself ?
Don't get me wrong, I think all the search options are great, and I know I can click on a channel and get all...
Hopefully not straying off topic, but maybe the lip sync issues are elsewhere ? I take the optical out from the back the HDR to my AV amp and seem to have slight lip sync delay on any HD channels - the picture is slightly ahead of the voice, so there is nothing I can configure - if I use the lip...
