I have noticed that the webif will allow anonymous connections even though there are registered users.
Creating a folder outside of My Videos results is files not being able to be bigger that 61MB in size.
Has anyone else noticed this ?
I have never done it, but it seems you go to the diagnostics page, and at the top you put the package name in the text box and hit force-reinstall.
I think the package is simply called webif.
I will have a go myself too.
I created a folder called detect ads in the media folder, with the intention of having detect ads putting the cropped programme in there. I find that whilst this works, the file size is limited to 61MB. In fact copying a file there with the webif also limits the file size to 61MB.
What about...
Yes - but 31 people had a look. Just figured that 1 might have tried it....
What about you - have you had a look ? after all you did take the time to reply.
Yes, many of the privacy settings reset to the default when the box takes a hit from Windows Update.
I did get the box to dual boot with windows 8.1, but not with 7 and I think xp is a nono because of the uefi bios.
If anyone has instruction on just getting this webif to play videos on any OS...
I know how you feel. I bought an MSI Trident_3 and sadly that's what it came with. As its only a movie - TV - Game machine I don't feel quite so bad about it.
I have tried to lock it down best I can, but you know the score - lol
Tell you what, I can install in a VM, so would you help me out...
I used to have to put a password in to the webif to use it, now despite having users in the settings the webif lets any one in. Anyone else found this ?
Web interface version: 1.4.4-1
Custom firmware version: 3.13 (build 4028)
Humax Version: 1.03.12 (kernel HDR_CFW_3.13)
Loader Version: a7.30
Can you tell me how to get it working ?
I have just downloaded Pale Moon, but I am having a problem locating the plugin for it. I think it picked up on the firefox plugin because I get the same white square with the controls - but no video.
