I wasnt using webif to schedule, only rs. Webif was just to check what was happening (as the wife was actually watching recordings whilst I was doing all this)
Well it it is now working.
Or it could have been because the Humax was in Standby? Will try again tomorrow using rs when not on the same network in case I've been fooling myself.
Thanks for the responses!
Hold your horses! I think it might be working now. I will know for sure in 15 mins or so. What have I done? Tried to record something not in 2 minutes time, but longer, switched RTS off and on again, & set Detectads to manual.
I hope its nothing to do with the fact that DetectAds is running continuously, but failing because I dont have Content Sharing enabled (because that tends to crash the Humax i think due to DLNA conflicts with other devices on the network). I will try disabling detectads.

I have been using both rs and connected directly.
On rs I got and still have
Direct connection activity.log has
18/03/2019 17:50:39 - Scheduled Take Me Out @ 1552931400
But it wasnt recorded. And I dont think it appeared on the schedule list when I browsed on the TV/Humax itself
I can't get RTS to work. Option is available & set to Yes.
And if i try to record something already started, which is supposed to work, I get "Error, cannot record programme which has already started showing or occured in the past". Suggests I somehow dont have the right software version...
The problem now seems to have resolved itself. The Humax had been off for months whilst we were away, on again for months but not internet connected. Now after being re-connected for a week the messages have finally disappeared.
During the reconnection I had re-booted several times whilst...
There arent any such hmt files (I browsed using Diag/File Editor)
Last time seen was this morning.
I have enabled real time scheduling a couple of days ago.
rs.log has:

same for the other hmt
In RS I keep getting this message which I can't seem to get rid of:
The following programmes failed to record:

/Damned/Damned_20180321_2200 (bin icon)

Looking at the format of the VLC file, it includes the local filename of the .ts file, so probably the only option would be a program on the destination device to create/amend the VLC file from the HMT.
Thanks for the response. I was initially using sweeper, then switched to traditional. I've now switched it off completely. Still have a sweeper rule set up, but i thought that only did anything when manually invoked. But won't be able to make any progress for a while as I am on holiday for a...
Detectads is correctly processing all the non-BBC recordings, but then repeats itself and processes them all again and again and never stops. I have tried disabling it (setting to Sweeper only), re-booting, re-enabling it, re-booting, but it is still in a loop. Any ideas??
