Automatic Power Down: ON
No setting I can find for 'sleep'.
But I feel sure you are right as I remember in the distant past reading this.
I am accessing the humax from xubuntu and there appear to be two identical copies of everything.
smb://one/
Directories: Media, My Music, My Photo, My Video
smb://one/media/
Directories: My Music, My Photo, My Video
I have disabled the 'sleep' but I feel there is more wrong than that. I will check the disk using maintenance mode as in the wiki.
Edit: Just noticed that although I deleted the 'sleep', on re-boot it was restored. There is a red circle with a red dot in it next to the entry.
I have 9.1GiB of personal photographs stored on there for many months and they have not caused a problem to my knowledge.
There is 55GiB of recorded tv.
Is it possible to check those?
Re-installed re-ring and still getting a red ring when the unit is turned off.
Activity Log (excerpt of 80kb):
1224 22/10/2015 17:56:04 - System booted (Remote control handset).
1223 22/10/2015 05:12:30 - System booted (Scheduled event).
1222 22/10/2015 04:17:31 - System booted (Scheduled...
I removed red-ring before you replied because I am now getting a red ring when the unit is switched off.
The schedules are Disable OTA 04:20, duration 00:20 and Sleep 05:15
I will check the logs later when I re-install red-ring to see if any difference.
I have two of these and both have identical settings and packages installed. However, one of them although left switched off by the remote ('click' heard after turning off), the following day the drive is spinning without an indication where the channel normally shows. The only thing showing is...
This is getting strange. winSCP can log into both machines with the normal username but only if I use the root password in which case I end up in the root directory.
In one case the three directories My Video, Photos, Music are the only ones listed and in the other these directories together...
TodauyI find I can excess both via webIF. I am still unable to access them both using the new or old password with winSCP.
However, I didn't try telnet last night and now see I can telnet into both.
Are you able to explain how to reset the access for winSCP and maybe have an idea why this...
I have two hdr-fox T2 and have recently changed my internal ip addresses from 192.168.1.x to 192.168.2.x.
I changed each machines IP and gateway to reflect the changes and logged in via webIF earlier today.
One machine had crashed previously and both had notification of changes. I acknowledged...
I have run the diagnostic remove_portals:

I upgraded today and now am told the humax has crashed and I should view the crash log. This conatins one line saying the humax crashed. The first warning said that some packages may have been prevented from running.
When I access it I get a message saying that webif has been upgraded to...
You suggest I must always let the streaming complete itself rather then when I want it to?
Well the streaming I have just done I allowed to complete and the saving still never finished but a whole file was made as it was when I cut short the streaming..
What is the result when a save finishes...
Those times I stopped it before it completed as I didn't want the credits or future programe information.
However, I have just done another stream and I let it complete so I will see if that does make a difference.
Edit: this time when I selected Save Last Stream the popup was different in...
I enter a file name, select Save and wait. The process never appears to complete and the only way to end is to select Cancel.
However, a save is in fact done. I don't remember this happening previously. Should there be a 'Done' or 'Finished'? I have recently started using a script blocker but...
I fitted a heatsink as in the beginning here was little information available.
