1. Repurposing HDR-T2
  
  on my last two Panasonics you need to format a portable drive using the tv os and anything that's recorded on this drive wont play on anything other than the tv it was recorded on, just check beforehand

2. No audio from box through hdmi
  
  Thanks just tried it by pulling the optical out of the humax going into the denon settings and turning optical off for that input, rebooted and no volume, then thought it my be something to do with hd channels but still the same, another reboot but still no volume, now it might be the hdmi...

  i had it on my last avr a yamaha rxa3050 and resigned myself to using optical and have had to do the same with this new denon, i will just live with it, giving up the satellite box next year if RTL drop the F1

  Sorry not had time to remove from the av unit but an update, I also have an old satellite receiver that I use and that also is around 10 years old and has the same problem of no audio, so I switched my monitor out on the avr to off and I get sound but no video obviously switch monitor back on...

  Hi so on my last avr I had to use an optical cable to get audio and everything was fine I just took it that there was a quirk with my old avr, so roll onto now and a new avr and setting things up and the same problem no audio through the hdmi, so I know I can reconnect the optical and get audio...

  Hi I haven’t had the box on for a few weeks and tonight noticed no bbc4 hd yet it shows on my tv tuner connected to the same aerial, have I missed something, all I have done to solve it is reboot the box and have a read

  Hi it looks like its a dtr-t2100 but must have got it right on roll out as im sure its years old, have had it apart to check for dust of fluff but it was clean, I will try a portable hard drive into her tv and see how she likes using that first then look at other models

  Just to add I have a 4K Panasonic from 2016 and all works fine with the humax, can I suggest you have a read up on a Hdfury I use mine to convert from up to date hdmi to component for my projector but I’m sure I read somewhere that it can strip all info from a hdmi signal so you can use legacy...

Just to add I have a 4K Panasonic from 2016 and all works fine with the humax, can I suggest you have a read up on a Hdfury I use mine to convert from up to date hdmi to component for my projector but I’m sure I read somewhere that it can strip all info from a hdmi signal so you can use legacy...
