BBC ONE (and TWO) from the Nations can sometimes be useful for a recording clash, IF they are on at a different time to the England broadcast. (Nations broadcast something else in the slot and time delay it from their Playout servers).
Usually offered you at the time of you using the Guide...
You don't need to retune or change postcode. BBC ONE Sth HD is available on LCN 961 of the EPG on freesat hd devices. (BBC TWO HD England is already on 102 in England).
But if you want 101 to be a BBC HD version then a postcode in NI, Wales, Scotland or any allocated to the South Region will...
BBC region studios opt into and out of the network sustaining feed seamlessly. Thus you get the local presenter able to be inserted into the 6 O'Clock News with a 'local headline, coming up later' type bit...
They should opt back at the end credits/trails and usually do so.
Once upon a time...
From another forum BBC South HD is on 101 and also 961 on HD capable freesat devices. SD devices in South and Northern Irish postcodes now get a generic UK-wide BBC ONE and BBC TWO with no opts at all.
So you may no longer see BBC TWO (England) SD on LCN 180 in the South Region, although the...
Your BBC South region was the first on Monday 23rd (or perhaps Tuesday via the overnight update).
Can you confirm the SD is in a 700 slot (if so which) as it doesn't appear on my -HDR (although <BBC ONE Sth HD> is in one on mine, and the same LCN may be used, depending on postcode for the...
At least two reports of the same on Digital Spy (4 min and 9 min claimed so not you) ;) Albeit one was on 106 HD and "prior to the changes" then on 101 BBC One South HD.
If so that likely points to a playout "error" on all BBC Ones?
NB likely important to note the BBC One Region/Nation as...
Yes, but more importantly the transponders have different radiation patterns. Most FTA UK ones are on UK spot beams.

Yes they do use F-plugs.
No point installing a Hybrid for future proofing unless you install additional cables at the same time... you'd need to swap cables between ports to avail of the correct 'type' of feed and if going up to the dish for that then you could just swap the LNB!
NB Only $ky...
Multiple mutiplexed DVB-C frequencies:
https://www.digitalbitrate.com/dtv.php?lang=en&liste=2&live=209 has some of them.
The equivalent for UK D-Sat is https://www.digitalbitrate.com/dtv.php?live=69&mux=11954&liste=2&lang=en
and there's also UK terrestrial there.

That loses your reservations (recording schedule).
Channel 5 moved transponder recently. BUT the -HDR should auto-tune and update during the overnight housekeeping boot... Unless you power off overnight or leave it on 24/7.
Anyway you'll now find ITV 2, 3 & 4 in HD as well, as that is another...
Not likely.
Housekeeping auto tune updates overnight preserve the recording schedule aka reservations. Manual retunes delete them - but the CF has a way round that for Foxsat-HDRs.
What channel?
Series CRIDs are frequently changed by the broadcasters when they ought not be and typically...
As reported elsewhere (Digital Spy), BBC is in process of closing most if not all SD channels on satellite next year.
The above relates certainly for English Regional and pan-UK channels.
Added today (so not on receivers until they are retuned updated overnight) LCN 799 BBC Information...
A suitable postcode that I know works would be MK45 3 (that will get BBC East West (Cambridge) and ITV Anglia West ).
IIRC you need to move cursor to the check postcode 'button' after entering a partial postcode? THEN <OK> it?
BBC allows you to set your preferred region on 101 etc.,. but ITV do...
Foxsat-HDR has the Maintenence Mode where fix-disk can be initiated. Needs issue of Telnet commands and a reboot to enter then telnet to run the fix-disk. IF and only if the OP is running the Custom Firmware.
Check out the Documentation in the WebIF for how to use it and the correct syntax /...
@David500 ITV 2, ITV 3 and ITV 4 are now available in HD on Freesat (LCN 113, 115, 117 respectively.
Thus, we need an update to the default authority for those channels (and suitable icons added) for the WebIF.
You may well be aware already, of course and I'd like to thank you in advance for...
Not possible on the Foxsat-HDR.
It's behind the front panel flap so ours are covered in blutak. Bits of card would probably do the same.
SWMBO hates lights when sleeping especially... so blutak comes in use a lot. Even used it to cover hotel smoke alarm 'flashing' leds and TV standby lamps...
Homeplugs are another alternative that might work (depending on mains wiring and consumer unit variability).
An ethernet cable beats wifi and powerplugs for ease of use and reliability. Only the initial install is more difficult.
