  I have downloaded files for archive to my PC from my two HDR Fox T2 machines for several years. Suddenly one of them has developed a problem. After pressing "OPT+" then "download", the progress bar comes up with "Unknown time left - 0 bytes" and the blue bar indicates 100%, but no transfer takes...

  Slightly off topic, talk of phases reminds me of a situation some years ago when my employer, who manufactured three phase equipment, moved premises to Liverpool. Apparently Liverpool, retains the phase rotation (R,B,Y) used by the old local generating company. which is the opposite to everyone...

  Whatever the pattern, you are still blowing hotter air from the HDD over the rest of the unit, which cannot be an ideal situation. Damned spullchicker!

  Given that there is a fixed amount of heat generated inside the case, and a given air flow, the differential air temperature rise is also fixed. Obviously if the HDD is last in the airflow, it will be 'cooled' by air that is already warmed by the electronics. If the flow is reversed , the HDD...

  That's very interesting. I wonder why my two year old 9200 board, which was the second one successfully cleaned by Biggles, is still working 8 years later. Perhaps the supercap stopped leaking?

  Is any one having problems with Sysmon? Both my machines have stopped monitoring HDD temperature etc, one since 16/1 and the other since 21/1.
