Just a quick one this time... the webif allows you to change the folder a series ends up recording in. How can these be nested by default without being done manually after the recording is made, detectads done and decrypted? For example I have in My Video the folder Derry Girls and then a...
Exactly, I knew I'd read that somewhere! And the HDR Fox T2 does cope perfectly with reproducing DD+/E-AC3 streams, as does my Sony BRAVIA TV which can also resample E-AC3 back to AC3 when outputting via SPDIF.
American TV seems to be using E-AC3 as a regular thing these days - from what I can...
I appreciate the offer but it's all good now, I just did the "remux with TSmuxerGUI, remux again with AV2HDR-T2 and add info for sidecar files, FTP to HDR Fox T2" method and everything plays okay.
Understatement! Very useful being able to move some of my favourite shows onto the HDR Fox T2...
Here's a scenario I've encountered recently when testing what the HDR Fox T2 will and will not play correctly.
I have a TV show episode originally in a MKV container. It has 1080p level 4 H264 video and 640k E-AC3 audio.
I can use ffmpeg to remux it to a TS or M2TS file and it'll play...
Yes indeed, wish I'd set the box up properly 18 months ago though as the list of things to decrypt is well over 500 items and some things are marked INTERRUPTED and the box locked up a few hours ago (no picture, no response to remote, no response to telnet etc), coincidentally around the time...
Thank you af123, super useful. I've set both boxes up properly for auto (and process existing) recording functions now.
Slight problem though - I had assumed the issue was with the [foxlink] package, however now I've manually shared the two boxes together with [network-shares-automount] - when...
So I've had another HDR Fox T2 for about a week now. The idea is partially it's a backup if the other one dies, but more to the point a specialised one for the missus so it has all the shows she likes on there on a shorter list and avoids recording clashes etc.
Anyway the point is, when I try...
Yep Amazon tend to be excellent with getting it right, or correctly sorting it out when it isn't. 99% of what I order is one day delivery via Prime as promised and they've only messed one of my orders up in a decade.
Has he been made aware of this, or if not is there a process for notifying him? I know a lot of developers use github for this sort of reason... you can just create a New Issue and go from there. Nice easy process, does he use one for [rs]?
Yep that was my experience too, when the Humax grabbed updated EPG data it sorted the errors out. I wonder if it's a problem with the Freeview scheduling or rs/webif versions of it only. If/when it happens with something I want to record next time I'm gonna cross reference with Radio Times...
That is an awful lot of errors isn't it? Not something I'd expect from a drive that young unless it had been stored badly/exposed to extreme temperatures or similar. That many bad blocks and sector remaps suggests hardware faults with the drive itself - last time I saw something like that it...
The only BBC ONE error I've seen recently is that yesterday Six Nations Wales v England wasn't on the list despite Radio Times showing it as 4:15pm program start this Saturday and no sign on it on the EPG, but an EPG refresh today has corrected that.
This is very encouraging; even if my S.O. doesn't use the box too much it could serve as a suitable "backup" when the other dies, or has HDD problems again. I have one of the 2010 build V1 HDR Fox T2 units and it is pushing nine years old at this point, also it was bought used so I've no way of...
I wonder how much signal degradation (if any; there must be a little I'd guess) the Aerial Out port of the HDR Fox T2 causes? Currently I have the main aerial of the house hooked up to the HDR Fox T2, and the Aerial Out goes into the Sony BRAVIA TV, which is useful when using Picture And...
Here's a question for any of the knowledgeable chaps who may or may not still be on this forum and using it after 3 1/2 years since the thread ended - how does anyone think this will react with a HomePlug situation? I've been thinking of adding a 19" TV I have lying around to the...
Ah. I like threads that answer questions before I ask them (again) hehe.
This is more of a direct question about a part of the reply :-
Where does the HDR Fox T2 store it's TSR buffer? I recall on the Foxsat HDR there's a 30GB or so file called 0.ts found in the My Video root folder...
