Been re-jigging my internal network address reservations and was having trouble connecting to the webif for the upstairs T2 around lunchtime.
Went up and checked that all internet settings were as expected and then decided to try the TV Portal button to make sure that the box
was seeing its way...
Yup - had all of that in-place prior to the event and only had to reset the networking.
The oddity is the apparent channel displacement in the schedule (E4 instead of Film4 and Red Button instead of BBC1)
I suspect that because I use tunefix to shuffle a couple of channels it got stuck in some...
Just logging this for info as I haven't seen anything quite the same reported before.
I'm in the Central Scotland region (STV) and using a HDR FOX-T2 that I acquired secondhand approx 18mths ago.
Yesterday, for the first time, it decided to factory-reset itself and I had to go through the whole...
I wouldn't use STV Player as any kind of yardstick - it's a dog.
I have a smart TV and HDR Fox-T2 both connected by wifi and a not great internet connection - 2.5mbps at best.
When the internet is OK I find that Netflix and All4 play flawlessly via the smart TV, iPlayer is fine by TV or T2...
Re-tuned my TV this evening for these changes and, on comparison with hummy, realised that there are significant differences.
TV looks fine but hummy is a bit of a mess. On closer inspection it appears that only the first two changes on the above list have been applied.
What may be significant...
... sums up my experience of this particular issue.
Just looked at the 2018 F1 calendar - there was a race on the clock-change weekend but I don't recall seeing this. Maybe I just never noticed before it resolved itself.
I wouldn't have spotted it any other way as there's been precious little...
Looks like it has resolved itself. Checked last night and EPG now populated for both channels and the
F1 series link has inserted Saturday evening's qualifying highlights into the schedule.
Happy days!
Exactly so - thanks for the pointer BH.
I don't keep an eye on that forum as I don't own either of those boxes.
Was going to put this in the Fox T2 until I saw the same behaviour on my TV and realised it appeared to be a general Freeview issue.
Not sure if this is restricted to the Black Hill transmitter or happening all over but ....
there doesn't appear to be any EPG data for this coming Saturday for CH4 or CH5.
There is for STV which is on the same mux (PSB2) so it doesn't appear to be a missing mux.
The data is there for the days...
Hmm - RXTVLog has changed its tune. Today it says :-
UPCOMING
Yaaas - channel 213
Scotland only: Channel 75 move to 68 - BBC Four (PSB1 - BBC) change pending
Must have a look at my TVs own tuner tonight to find out the real deal.
More Scottish-only shuffling - from RXTV.Log :-
15th October 2019
Scotland only: Channel 75 moved to 68 - BBC Four (PSB1 - BBC)
... and from elsewhere on RXTV.Log :-
"However, it's unlikely BBC Four will stay put for too long: Ofcom has decreed that the channel must be moved to a higher...
Just spotted this on RXTVlog - suppose I better check all is still well when I get home.
I have BBC4 SD currently on LCN 8 and That's TV kicked into the long grass. Better make sure it's still working like that before any 'important' proms come along!
