Following the advice at https://hummy.tv/forum/threads/steps-for-resolving-hdr-fox-crash-reboot-issues.5320/ I used the usb stick to install
HDR_FOX_T2_1.03.12_mod_3.13.zip
I then restarted the machine and now it only shows initially:
L000
It then comes up with E-OS until I turn off the...
I was using a USB 3 stick, expecting it to work with USB 2 sockets, but in this instance it did not. I put in a different stick specifically for USB 2 and that has worked. The Umax did not crash but went to the file on the stick. I expect I will be back with the next problem soon, but I will...
1B & 1C: How do I follow these steps when I cannot stop the continuous cycle of crash and restart? On a normal computer I would put in a live CD and boot off it. The advice at 1B & C implies that it is possible to get round the non stop cycle of crash and reboot, by installing via the USB. When...
My HDR-fox t2 is crashing as soon as it starts up from cold. It then counts down 10 secs and crashes again. This cycle continues without a pause. I found this advice in our forums:

As I can not access the...
My Humax is the HDR-Fox-D2
All I am trying to do is play, on my TV via my humax, videos that I have downloaded via the internet to my desktop computer.
I have the following packages installed that have relevance to DLNA:
dlna-filter
mediatomb
mvdisks
Although I have tried I have failed to be...
My Fox T2 has media tomb installed. It seems to only show the file structure of the T2 linux operating system. I therefore can not pick up files in other places on the Lan. The wish is to play them on my TV and to control them via my remote as the computer with the HD is in another room. I...
When I come to replay I am finding consistently that there are no bookmarks in the recording
My settings are:
Automatically process recording following auto-decryption? (traditional)
Only BBC* excluded from processing
Start processing recording queue ASAP
Only Bookmark ends of ad breaks? YES...
Thank you. i think that has got me round the toggle problem when humax is recording. I assume there is nothing I can do about the 0 being treated as part of a station address, if the humax is on.
Is there any app or technique to prevent all my program list reverting to the full list when there is a rescan of the stations?
I am hoping that I can save my list of stations appearing in the Humax guide so that I can restore the list after new stations are included. When that happens the...
I have run the disk diags through the main menu and smart status was passed. The firmware v- sc13
I have also run the Disk Maintenance through telnet. All was ok (after running the maintenance utilities) except for /mnt/hd2/mod/tmp/redring.log, which it was suggested I may wish to delete.

I am not chase playing. It could be days latter when I watch the recording. Never at the time of the recording or the removal of the adverts. As that is not the cause what can i do to stop it, because it can be really annoying to skip forward to find I am a long way back.
I have checked the app updates and there no available updates for my apps on the HDR-Fox T2.
I have the detectadds working all the time on channels that have adverts. I find that when I fast forward on a recording cleaned by DetectAdds The time line shows me moving froward with the fast...
Thank you for your response. I made the changes you suggested by bringing in the host computer as 127.0.0.1. Unfortunately the share still does not appear in storage>>blue. I hope someone with specialised linux knowledge will also comment.
In my list of recorded files on my HDR Humax I see an entry for ModSettings. Opening it and going into the nfs folder shows the setup template folders and not the media files.
I am using Ubuntu gnome 16.04 on my desktop computer.
This is what I have done so far:
I have chosen to use nfs in...
Thanks all for helping me get over the problem raised in my initial question.
I am not used to telneting, but am thinking about how to do it from within Ubuntu linux to the HDR-fox T2 as as separate device on the network. At the moment I am unclear. It is a pity that the utility is not built...
The power off worked and brought back the faded out entries, together with some recordings that I thought I had deleted!
At posting 3 above I referred to the md5sum fault. Is the fault something to be concerned about?
Unable to edit channels or access installation from HDR
I tried the standby idea but the entries are still greyed out. Is there a log you would like me to post?
