OK, just backed up the schedule and done a restore from the web-if with the above mods. The following failed to restore:
Revenge
The 100
The Big Bang Theory
Cockroaches
I have attached the output as a text file to make it easier for you guys to read.
Sorry about that. With going away at Xmas and my channel 5 and Really programmes finishing I did not have anything to try it on. Incidentally I am using Newk at the moment for the renaming which seems to be working. I'll have a play - not promising it will be tonight but we'll see.
OK - Just retuned and auto restore only managed to restore 12 out of 16 so I tried a manual restore via the web-interface and it did exactly the same but allowed me to see what the errors were. Again its those strange tokens for 3 entries and a "Error inserting event, not enough arguments for...
No access at all at the moment!
Scheduled recordings did not appear to be happening (at least I could not login when they should be) so I tried to access the box shortly after 10 AM this morning when its power on timer should have switched it on but that was also a no go.
I have a FOXSAT-HDR...
I managed to catch it in a state early evening (yesterday) where a recording was happening so I did the above (installed power-on-channel and configured the extra files). Returning late last night I remembered a recording was happening so I checked the database (using the diagnostics database...
Cheers guys for all the replies. I'll have to wait until the box is active for a recording so I can switch it on using the web remote to keep it up whilst I have a play.
Just one thing, I am tweaking the correct setting aren't I i.e. AUTOMATIC_POWER_DOWN?
Cheers prpr
I ma having second thoughts as there is also a setting AUTO_POWER_OFF_CRTL and a database tempsetup.db which seems to be a copy of setup.db?
I don't want to jump in feet first in case I mess it up. If anyone does know which setting and which database it would be appreciated.
Did a factory reset last week - thought I had tweaked everything but turns out I have left the Automatic Standby Option on.
Currently on holiday when I discovered this as the box is not on mid afternoon when it should be; its coming on at 10 AM and going off at 1PM (according to CPU usage stats...
Currently on holiday (out of the country) so will investigate and add the above debug lines when I am back in the UK in a couple of weeks time and will give an update. All very mysterious why it appears to be just me having problems?
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone!
Just thought I would add some additional info. Been looking at the new log viewer (nice work af123) and have noted that after a failed folder change from the web-if schedule page, the webif-error.log contains:
5 at file "/mod/webif/lib/rsv.class", line 319
4 at file "/mod/lib/jim/oo.tcl", line...
Zipped and attached.
All seems very odd that my channel 5 and Really recordings are all broken in the same way and affecting:
Web-if change folder
Web-if schedule restore
auto-schedule-restore package
Hope you figure it out.
Thanks for giving me some ideas to try and at least it has ruled out anything wrong with my setup. Also thanks to MikeSh as well.
Hopefully af123 will drop by and maybe able to shed some light on what is going on.
Sorry for the multiple posts, but just tried to restore a schedule backup and got this:
Restoring New Haunting: Australia (Really)
No change in channel service.
Error inserting event, unrecognized token: "X'a"
Restoring New: The Gadget Show (Channel 5)
No change in channel service...
Out of curiosity, I took Black Hole's advice. I un-installed auto-schedule-restore to prevent it interfering (and restoring the schedule) and did a factory reset, went through the wizard, scanned channels, gave it a few minutes to populate the guide, selected the next episode of Gadget Show...
Well this is strange. Still can't change folders on channel 5 or Really but just to prove it is working on others I have just successfully renamed "Alan Carr: Chatty Man" (to remove the semi-colon) and as expected it is in my pending list. Whilst this is pending I have just tried to change the...
cheers MikeSh,
When you pressed update did you get the usual pending list at the top with the new folder name and a strikethrough on the old existing scheduled recording?
Been doing folder changes for years. It is only recently it has stopped working but only on C5 and Really (for me at least). I only noticed because the auto schedule restore failed to restore these so I had to add them manually.
No one has commented on why the auto schedule restore is also not...
Good spot - the old grey matter letting me down! To be honest after posting I wasn't even sure it was this board I had mentioned it on!
Anyway, you jogged my memory about the change folder on the webif also not working - I can confirm that Really is also affected by this as well as channel 5...
