Broadlink RM pro 2 remote control
Was just thinking of using the Broadlink to turn on the Humax in response to a command issued to an Alexa device, and at the same time turn on the TV and maybe the room lamp using a routine. I never thought of using it for more than basic command like change channel, off/on etc. I guess it would...- surefire

Looks like my Hummy is pooped
The Hummy had been working perfectly well until the fault occured. Save the odd green screen issue which is usually fixed with a power off from the remote and a few minutes wait. On rare occasions a power cycle would be required to clear a persistent green screen. But this has occured since...- surefire

Well, tried re-flashing with latest version and problem still exists. Then tried the system flush image and guess what? That's fixed it 😁 Very grateful to you guys on here. Mistakenly I was convinced it was a hardware problem. You chaps are diamond geezers. Made my day.- surefire

Looks like my Hummy is pooped
Well after many years of great service my wonderful HDR Fox T2 has finally stopped working. Switched it on this morning to be greeted by the usual Humax splash screen on the TV but it will not progress past that. The display shows Cust Fw 3.13 but again it will not progress. Just received a new Seagate 2Tb drive and would like to prepare it for use. I have a spare Humax box with a 500Mb drive and will put it in there to get it formatted. Can I then use it to copy files from my original box via a sata to usb caddy as a back up and when necessary fit it straight in my...- surefire

Replace 500Gb drive with 1Tb
Quick question about converting a 500gb box to 1gb. Knowing that my 1Gb box is getting on a bit I managed to purchase a second hand T2 with a 500gb hard disk. If and when my original box gives up the ghost I would like to just swap the 1Tb drive into the 500gb newer unit. Is this possible...- surefire

Yes that kinda what I thought. I read somewhere that a decryption package can be run on the saved recordings, and this would allow the drive to be played in another machine, but if the drive is pretty full it takes a very long time. Am I correct in thinking this.- surefire
