I'm having problems with the Humax hogging the wireless connection when FTPing a file from the humax to a PC, none of my wireless devices can access the Internet during a FTP download.
Also if I change the Transmission app setting using the web to unlimited download / upload speed, then I can't...
As you say busybox could have been up to date in Customised firmware version 1.14, but the samba packgae was updated this morning OK, I'm sure it working fine.
Just a few idea's about the Auto update status logging:
Maybe you could start by having a Diagnostic log for the Auto updates on the local Web interface.
I would like logging/notification in RS, but most people would use the Web interface as you say.
Maybe add a new button (if Auto Package is...
I manually check your Twitter site (not a member yet) on my Andriod smartphone each morning, and note down the firmware version number of packages that have changed.
Then using my phone I compare them using the web interface interface, to see if the installed package version matches.
Updated manually the CFW to v1.14 over the Internet, no problems.
The auto update package is working here, no issues.
It updated Busybox and Samba packages over night. Great work, thanks!
Thanks for you response Chris.
I got a Satellite box called the Spiderbox, and it can run some of the MAME ROMS (about 20), it uses the remote control to play the games, you can map the remote keys to game controls on the MAME setup page, some of the games don't have sound.
It's a very clever...
Sky Player app looks very interesting, wish I had a login...
Here is a few ideas for the Portal :
Would it be possible to use the portal to play games (e.g. Java web, PlayJam games or even MAME Arcade games) ?
I seem a new freeview service called Electra’s Channel Zero, that is available...
I was thinking of installing the package to understand how it works, to see if it effects the RS and would still work if the box was kept in 'blue light' mode for a week or so, wouldn't want to miss any of the fantastic updates you guys are doing, can't bring myself to join Twitter, I'm only in...
Thanks.
I understand now, the Wakeup / Sleep period event is only needed to bring the HDR into 'blue light' mode.
If the box is left in 'blue light' mode all the time, then the RS can update the EPG events directly.
I assume you would need a reboot event for the "auto-update" package to work.
I have changed the Wakeup / Sleep period to 07:30 and 07:45, and this keeps the HDR booted all through the night, which is great.
Here a few things I have noticed :
A) If you manually boot the box from the remote, and quickly go into the "Media" area the box defaults to the "*edit" folder, the...
Thanks Wallace, I will have a play later, but I don't want to witness the 04:30am power off in person, as I need my sleep zzzzzzz.
I used to get the "04:29:57 Processing command 'schedule '" in the log, but not anymore even though its still listed in the "Scheduled events on Humax" list, I only...
Thanks for confirmed the behaviour, the RS works very well.
Could I change the sleep timer time, to just before I get home so the Hummy has been on all day, would I do this by changing the : Wake-up/Sleep period - Wake at: 06:00 Sleep at: 16:45 ?
Is this a good idea or will I risk missing a...
1) Please could confirm if this rebooting behaviour is normal ?
I got the RS setup and working fine, but I have been leaving my HDR-Fox T2 switched on over night for "Transmission" downloads last few nights, but in the morning I can't access the HDR local Web page to check the file download...
A big thanks for adding navigation control buttons on the top of RS EPG page, looking good.
Here a bit of feedback:
I currently browse the RS website using my Android Smart phone (Samsung Galaxy S2) which has a screen resolution of 800x480, looks perfect and is easy to navigate and setup...
Would it be possible to have additional navigation control buttons on the top of RS EPG page :
1) "Now" to reset the EPG timeline to the current time.
2) "Next Day" which moves you to the current viewing period but on the next day.
3) "Previous Day" current viewing period on previous day.
4)...
One way to watch youtube on the HDR is to capture them and convert the videos using a set of tools called Freemake Video Downloader, I also use Freemake to convert .ts files taken from my SpiderBox to Blyray rw discs format or Mp4, does a good job with HD .ts files, but sometimes can't decode...
Thanks for the info, not sure how the HDR audio decoding hooks into the system, could we use the FFMPEG package...
Interesting work you are doing with the TV Portal, could mplayer (or some browser player) be used to view video with DTS sound.
