I've been looking at the thread on using an SSD. I have a couple of N.2 NVMe drives in my PC as well as a 1TB SSD. I also have a couple of 1TB SSD's that I use for doing a system drive clone every couple of weeks...
Whoops, sorry 'bout that. Is that why tinyURL is free? I shall have to find a better way of shortening URL's.
In the meantime here is a screengrab from Amazon. I'll buy one anyhow and see how I get on.
Thanks
Pete

Google AI came up with the below, which to my limited knowhow seems to fit the bill. Any input will be appreciated.

I'm just looking to put a bigger drive in my Foxsat HDR and it's not as easy as doing an upgrade on the T2, is it.
I'll wait to see if there are any replies, before I place an order
TIA

Thanks for the quick reply.
I hope you mean 2 TB not GB as it's the same sort of thing I do all the time, so how do I miss my errors but not those of others.

It had not been fired up for ages, but all seems in order. I'll have to a retune and check that the CF is the latest custom version. I also want to fit a newer, larger HDD, so is the process the same as that on the T2?
TIA
Pete
I installed CF six hours ago and I had no issues with the T2. As soon as I plugged in the Ethernet connector the system crashed (I thought I'd have to wait a while) so I logged on and let the CF do its thing for a few minutes. Added dlna-filter a few minutes ago. Time will tell, but I'm sure...
To look at an earlier thread would only cloud the matter. It is what is covered in this thread that is relevant.
No, I didn't try dlna-filter. I'll give it another twenty four hours, and if there are no crashes, I'll install the CF and the dlna-filter.
Tks
Pete
It has been performing as it should every time I've used it since Tuesday, up until tonight, that is. I selected the T2 on my TV and it was doing a reboot. It did a few more until I removed the RG45 patch lead to the router which, was posted as a possible fix my earlier thread. That was an hour...
I did sort the PSU last year, but just in case, I put a scope on it (12v per div y axis, 5 sec per div x axis) to see if the voltage was disappearing. It wasn't.
It's early days yet but since I reverted to the Humax firmware yesterday, now 30 hours and counting, I've had no problems. I'm...
Few suggestion there. I'm leaning toward a hardware fault. I'm going to check the fan out in case it's overheating, I'll also change the HDD and see what happens.
I am using Windows 10. Would 11 be a better prospect to format the USB stick?
I shall try a different USB stick and see what...
I'd like to run my T2 with the standard Humax firmware and start afresh, as the reboots seem so random. Sometimes for several days without a glitch and then every couple of minutes.
I have a stick with hdr_fox_t2_upgrade.hdf on it. but it is ignored when I power down using the rear switch...
prpr asked "So what was the actual fix?"
As I said on Tuesday at 8:48 PM "I clicked the "Download & install the Full Web Interface" button and all of the "Congratulations............." message appeared.
After a reboot all is back to normal.
Prior to this attempt I had accessed the Telnet menu...

Thanks for that, I'm monitoring the situation at the moment so I can give a more comprehensive report on what is amiss. I had multiple crashes yesterday until I did a power cycle at 21.00 last night since then all is well. The crash report shows crashes at mostly around 67 or 108 seconds, with...
As far as this thread goes, I've learned quite a bit and the CF is back to normal. Although there are further issues, but I think they deserve another thread.
Thanks again
